Performing Arts Program

Program Overview

Students at Stella Maris can participate in a comprehensive and growing Performing Arts Program and in a number of school ensembles. The program is coordinated by school staff and a team of Specialist Teachers.

The program is extensive and offers a variety of lesson options that are scheduled during the school day on a rotating timetable to limit any disruption to daily class learning.

School Ensembles

There are a variety of ensembles for students to be part of each year.  These include Choirs, Concert Bands, Guitar Ensemble, String Ensembles, Drama Group,and Percussion Ensemble.

Woodwind - Flute, Oboe,Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Saxophone (Alto, Tenor) - From Year 3

Brass - Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba - From Year 3

Please note - tuition is NOT available to students in Prep or Year 1

To be involved in the program parents are responsible for the full payment of tuition fees (Pair Lessons - $1200 per year, Individual Lessons - $1680 per year) in addition to the cost of a musical instrument (if needed) and any additional resources (music books, accessories, CDs etc) that may be required.

Fees are payable with your school fees account. Where appropriate, students are also expected to be involved in any related ensembles and to attend all rehearsals and performances. 

There are no additional charges for involvement in ensembles.

Waiting lists may apply to some instruments and further advice regarding the commencement of tuition will be provided once enrolment forms andresource fees have been received.
