Our totem poles are now complete.
Pictured here are four Maroochy Mob students, each representing one of our house groups, standing beside the finished poles for Gaalba, Dingira, Toombra and Tawalpin. Each pole represents one of our four house groups and shares the stories, animals and connections to Country that inspire their names.
Created alongside Uncle Mack Muckan, the artwork brings these stories to life while celebrating Aboriginal culture, traditions and the significance of place.
These totem poles now serve as a special learning space for our school community, encouraging students to learn more about culture, connection and the stories that make Stella Maris unique.
